The Canadian government issued 3,900 Invitations to apply (ITAs) to the Express Entry candidates to apply for Canada PR in the latest Express Entry draw held on 15th Oct 2018. The minimum cut-off CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score is decreased by five points in this latest express entry draw i.e 445 to 440.
In this latest express entry draw held on October 15th the minimum CRS score is five points less than the minimum CRS score of 445 in the previous express entry draw held on October 3 keeping the no of invitations same i.e. 3,900.
The tie-break date and time of the draw were 18th September 2018 at 11:06:29 UTC. It means the candidates who scored 440 or above under CRS and submitted their profile before the time and date specified will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
The Express Entry System manages the pool of the three primary economic immigration categories. “Federal Skilled Trades Class, Federal Skilled Worker Class, and Canadian Experience Class.”
The candidates with highest ranks in the Express Entry pool will be issued with ITA in this latest draw.
According to the results of this new express entry draw, IRCC has issued a total of 70,300 ITAs over 22 draws in 2018. IRCC started with the base of 2,750 ITAs and then increased gradually by 250 or 500 in every 8 weeks roughly. It has now reached to 3,900 ITAs on 5th September.
Around 86,023 Invitations were issued in 2017. Canada has set higher targets for both 2018 and 2019 with 74,900 and 81,400 immigrants respectively. Draws might be continued to be large in size and frequent in the remaining months of 2018.
