The date and time of the tie-break rule in this draw were November 28, 2018, at 09:51:43 UTC. This means the candidates with CRS score 445 or above who entered their profile in the Express Entry pool before 28th November 2018 at the specified tie-break time, will receive an ITA from Canada.
IRCC-Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) generally issue Express Entry invitations in every two weeks through regular draws. This signifies that IRCC has one more chance to issue Express Entry invitation in 2018 breaking 2017’s record.
IRCC issued 83,273 ITAs at this same point in 2017 and closed with the last draw on December 20.
The Federal Express Entry System manages the candidates’ pool for the three high-skilled economic immigration programs, “Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.”
The eligible candidates from the pool will get scores based on factors like age, education, work experience, and language proficiency in French/English. This score will determine their position in the pool. The high ranked candidates’ set will get an ITA through regular express entry draws.
Admissions through Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) is set to rise to 61,000 (an increase of 6,000 over 55,000, 2018’s target) in IRCC’s new multi-year immigration levels plan.
Admission targets through PNP are expected to reach to 71,300 by 2021, which is an increase of close to 30% over 2018’s Federal high skilled target of 55,000 new permanent residents.
Admissions target through Federal high skilled immigration category is 81,400 in 2019 which is an increase by 6,500 over this year’s target of 74,900.
