Manitoba PNP issued 170 new invitations for Canadian permanent residence in recent EOI draw

170 new invitations were issued by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence in the recent Expression of Interest draw conducted May 9. Among the 170 invitations, Manitoba immigration candidates got 15 invitation with a valid federal Express Entry profile and job seeker validation code.

Note that the Express Entry system takes care of the pool of candidates for 3 of main economic immigration categories which are Canadian Experience Class, the Federal Skilled Worker Class, and Federal Skilled Trades Class. These candidates will be issued an extra 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points if their nomination is approved.

The extra points place make them to receive a federal Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residence in next Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) draw. Most of the invitations were received by Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream candidates and a total 101 invitations are issued.

The candidate with lowest rank (569) is invited under the stream through Manitoba’s unique points grid. The remaining invitations were received by 52 Skilled Workers Overseas & 17 International Education Stream candidates. A skilled Workers Overseas aspirant with lowest rank got a score of 616.

The International Education Stream aims international graduates of Manitoba post-secondary institutions who satisfy the criteria of one of 3 pathways. The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) helps graduates to register for an information session with the program before they submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to apply for one of the International Education pathways.

All Skilled Workers Overseas candidates were invited directly by the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) with the help of the Strategic Recruitment Initiative. In the above overseas recruitment initiatives, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) works along with employers in Manitoba to fill positions which are available in the province.

Where to start?

In order to begin the journey of immigration to Manitoba through the MPNP, foreign nationals should first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to the program. In order to submit an EOI, candidates should respond to various questions about their work experience, past education, connections to the Manitoba and language skills.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) allots candidate profiles a particular score based on the information given and ranks suitable candidates. The candidates who got highest scores display a greater likelihood of getting economic integration while long-term contribution in the province are later invited to submit a application for a provincial nomination during periodic provincial draws
