Ontario immigration continued to issue invitations through Express Entry linked “French Speaking Skilled Worker Stream (FSSWS).” It has issued 13 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for Provincial Nomination for Canada Permanent Residence on December 13, 2018.

Prior to 12th December, Ontario immigration issued a total of 45 ITAs on December 6 through its French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream. A total of 58 invitations were issued by the French-speaking Skilled Worker Stream of Ontario in December 2018.

2018 has been an active year for Ontario which has issued a total of 1,609 ITAs or Notifications of Interest (NOIs) through weekly draws.

The majority of NOIs in 2018 came through Ontario’s three Express Entry-linked Streams. It also includes the Skilled Trades and Human Capital Priorities streams.

The Express Entry Candidates who successfully applied for a provincial nomination will get an additional 600 points towards their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score on receiving an NOI from the province which determines their position in the pool. These 600 points will guarantee an ITA for Canada PR from Canadian Government.

The French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream allows the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) to search the candidates’ pool for the eligible French-Speaking candidates with Strong English language abilities.

For an NOI consideration from Ontario, candidates must be eligible for either the Canadian Experience Class or the Federal Skilled Worker Class and meet specific criteria for the province.
