Among all these invitations, many streams were linked to the Federal Express Entry System that manages the pool of candidates for the three main economic immigration programs of Canada, “Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC), Federal Skilled Trades Class (FSTC), and the Canadian Provincial Experience Class (CEC)”.
Provincial Immigration Draws in 4 Provinces of Canada
Saskatchewan issued 494 invitations in a provincial immigration draw held on 10th October 2018 in the Occupation In-Demand Pool. Candidates don’t require any job offer for eligibility under Saskatchewan’s immigration streams aligned with Express Entry. They need to have a work experience in one of the 20 occupations in the In-Demand Occupations List of Saskatchewan, among other criteria.
The draw held on 17th October 2018 was the largest for this year in British Columbia (BC) that issued 472 invitations through its Express Entry and Skills Immigration Categories.
Candidates need to have a valid job offer from an employer in the province for eligibility in the BC Categories. They must first register through the Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) in order to be considered by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee program (BCPNP).
Ontario is the most popular Canadian province. The tech industry of Ontario is booming and is the reason for popular draws to attract highly skilled workers.
Ontario issued 439 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in its largest Express Entry aligned provincial immigration draw held on 19th October 2018.
Candidates must have full-time work experience of at least 1 year, or an equivalent part-time work in a skilled Trade listed in Major Group 72, 73, or 82, or the Minor Group 633 of NOC- the National Occupational Classification of Canada.
Prince Edward Island
Prince Edward Island (PEI) issued 270 invitations surpassing its previous invitation number 152 in April. The draw again was held on 18th October 2018.
Candidates are not required to have a job offer in PEI for the Express-Entry linked immigration streams of PEI. Candidates will get scores based on the details they have provided and the highest scored candidates will be invited for provincial nomination for Canada PR through monthly draws.
